Welcome to our parent-and-child outdoor classroom!
My name is Jane, I am a certified Tinkergarten teacher with 4 years of experience teaching ESL taking time off to spend it with my two amazing children. Their joy for nature has inspired me to offer classes to facilitate outdoor play-based learning for children and their grownups.
I utilize Tinkergarten curriculum to guide families through songs, movement, exploration and purposeful play. During the class children are encouraged to get messy and dirty, come up with their own ideas and explore the nature.
Spring Season April-June 2024
Duration: 9 weekly sessions on Saturdays 10.30-11.30am, 04/06-06/01

Tuition for 9 classes (prorated after season begins):
$180 - for one child and child's caregiver(s)
$90 - for each additional sibling
$30 - drop-in class
Description:
This Spring, our focus is creativity—the ability to imagine original ideas or solutions to problems and bring them to life.
We'll help kids develop creative mindsets and strategies they can use throughout their lives to invent new things, solve problems, express their ideas and feelings, and to nurture relationships. We’ll do it all through enriching, outdoor play!
The core lessons follow a steady progression and are organized into three units:
In our Building Blocks unit (lessons 1-3), we focus on the Three B's: building, breaking, and blending. We use these three core processes when we are creative.
In our Creative Thinking unit (lessons 4-6), we use pretending to explore divergent thinking and discover many possible solutions to problems.
In our final Creative Expression unit (lessons 7-9), we explore how we can express ideas and feelings through art, music, and movement.
